QuaWanna has over 15 years of professional writing experience in both the corporate and private sector, specializing in administrative correspondence in support of non-profit start-ups and public service agencies.  She is an Adjunct Professor of Nonprofit Leadership at Indiana Wesleyan University. She received training in the areas of grant writing and proposal development from Tidewater Community College’s Academy of Non-profit Excellence, as well as Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth. QuaWanna’s passion is to inspire personal growth and transform environments through her gifts, knowledge and abilities, helping others to achieve and live on purpose. QuaWanna received her Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, and admirably served as a Surface Warfare Officer. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-profit Management from South University. QuaWanna currently resides in Hampton Roads, VA with her husband and children.

Dr. Hayes is a passionate advocate for equality in education. She is a professional writer and editor, assisting others in attaining their personal and professional goals. Her vision is to inspire by example, to encourage and uplift, and to raise expectations, ensuring academic success is not only anticipated, but required. Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, completing 20 years of honorable service in the field of Human Resources. She received her Master’s degree in Human Relations with a concentration in Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. She earned her doctoral degree in Education from Capella University; her dissertation examined factors supporting the academic success of African American male adolescents. Nicole currently resides in Greensboro, NC with her husband of 22 years.

Admiral Arthur Johnson, Jr.

Admiral Johnson is the Founder and CEO of Destiny Aviation Services, LLC.  After leading and commanding at all levels in the U.S. Navy for 33 years, he now seeks to broaden the nation’s pool of aviation professionals through various aviation and education initiatives.  He is a youth mentor, motivational speaker, education advocate, and youth programs strategic advisor. His vision and passion for Leadership LINKS is to create a resource clearing-house where young, emerging leaders can access well-developed answers, refined ideas and proven concepts to address their most pressing leadership challenges. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in International Security Affairs from the U.S. Naval Academy. His postgraduate education includes a master’s degrees from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and the National War College. He was also a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI fellow. A husband and father of two, Admiral Johnson lives in Upper Marlboro, MD. 

Commander Tasya Lacy

Commander Lacy is an established leader with more than 22 years of leadership experience as a member of the Armed Services. As an aspiring Life Coach and motivational speaker, Tasya’s passion for Leadership LINKS stems from her desire to help others realize their dreams by living out their Divine Purpose. Being a former certified personal trainer, group exercise instructor and lifelong runner, she knows what it takes to help others achieve their goals. Tasya received her Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, and continues serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy.  In May 2009, she graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Master of Science degree in Management, specializing in Human Resource Management.  In 2013, she earned a Certificate in Legislative Studies from the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University while serving as a Defense Fellow in the U.S. Senate. Tasya is a wife and mother.

Natasha is the author of Mentor for Life: Finding Purpose through Intentional Discipleship (Zondervan), an inspirational speaker, leadership consultant, mentoring coach, and anti-human trafficking advocate. Her vision and passion for Leadership LINKS is to holistically develop transformative and redemptive servant leaders who are united in community and committed to invest in long-term generational and cultural change. Natasha received her Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, served six years as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, and continued service in the federal government at the Department of Homeland Security. She graduated cum laude with a Master’s of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Charlotte. She is a wife and mother who resides in High Point, NC.

 

Graham began his life of service through Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Youth leadership involvement paved the way for his 20 years of service as a U.S. Marine Corps officer, serving in various leadership positions as both an aviator and ground officer. His vision for Leadership LINKS is to provide an environment for leaders to offer focused mentorship to the next generation by allowing them to develop as leaders of service. He received his Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering with merit from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he minored in Russian. He obtained his Master of Science in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He enjoys life with his wife and three children, and continues to serve as a vestry member within the Episcopal Church.
