Mentoring Across Generations
The world needs credible and competent leaders of character. Historically, Black Women like Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Ida B. Wells, Ella Baker, Rosa Parks, Mary McLeod Bethune, and so many others have modeled this way of being within the United States and their catalytic leadership has created a more equitable and just society for all.
We know that modern Black girls and women, especially, do not always have the historical knowledge, confidence, access or opportunities to reach their potential or positively impact their communities to bring about change.
At Leadership LINKS, we make long-term investments in small groups of people, because intentional, deep work and dedication produces transformational impact. Not only does this benefit girls and young women personally, but through their leadership, they influence communal, systemic, and social change that ripples across generations. We mentor and we multiply!
Mentoring is a tool for Leadership, Character, and Spiritual Development
Leadership LINKS uses well researched, evidence-based best practices, and a small group mentoring model to help develop the “whole girl” - with:
Leadership Education
Character and spiritual development
Professional and workforce development, accompanied with soft and life skills
Exposure to a variety of career fields
