LEADERSHIP LINKS MENTORS ARE COMMITTED TO MENTORING

Mentors within the Leadership LINKS Network commit their time, resourcefulness and attention to the call of #MentoringAcrossGenerations because they understand that they have been entrusted to prepare young men and women to lead well.

Leadership LINKS Mentors submit to over 10 hours of training prior to the start of each mentoring season. They facilitate monthly mentoring sessions and collaborate each month as a team of mentors to prepare for mentoring sessions. The curriculum and resource for the Leadership LINKS Mentoring Program is led and modeled by Natasha Sistrunk Robinson as referenced in her book Mentor for Life.

Carmel is a program analyst with the Department of State, and graduate of Claflin University. Prior to her career transition, she had the privilege of serving military families as a teacher and support services coordinator for youth and teen programs in Europe and Asia. She believes her experience with mentorship, her time as a military spouse, and educator has equipped her to serve during her first year as a mentor for Leadership LINKS.
